The story
On December 22, 2024, we officially launched our agriculture project in Kasimbira Village, Safroko Limba Chiefdom. The event was graced by various stakeholders, including Paramount Chiefs, Section Chiefs, NGOs, the police, the media, and members of the surrounding communities. The Youth in Agriculture for Education initiative brings together multiple communities to collaborate on agricultural projects that promote sustainable food production, access to education, solar energy, clean water supply, and other essential developments in rural areas.
Why this work matters
Food security is closely connected to education, health and household resilience. When families can produce food or receive timely support, they are better able to protect children’s learning and plan for the future.
CARDO’s community-led approach
CARDO works with farmers, young people and community leaders to connect immediate needs with longer-term resilience. The organisation promotes participation, shared responsibility and practical activities suited to local priorities.
Looking ahead
