The story
Over the weekend, two villages Mankoreh and Mabanta village Safroko Limba chiefdom participated on the weeding of our rice farm, while others were brushing for the groundnuts farm on the same day. Our cassava farm is also doing very well. We’re using agriculture to promote education in rural communities. Our aim is to increase agricultural productivity and promote sustainable agriculture for rural farmers.
Why this work matters
Food security is closely connected to education, health and household resilience. When families can produce food or receive timely support, they are better able to protect children’s learning and plan for the future.
CARDO’s community-led approach
CARDO works with farmers, young people and community leaders to connect immediate needs with longer-term resilience. The organisation promotes participation, shared responsibility and practical activities suited to local priorities.
